Partitions for zoning the pool in the hospital

In recreational and rehabilitation complexes, there often arises a need for functional zoning of the basin. The space is divided into two or several zones — for example, swimming and aqua aerobics, hydromassage and hydrotherapy, children’s and adult slides. Visitors feel more comfortable, not interfering with each other. If necessary, in each zone you can create your own temperature regime, set up equipment for hydromassage. The optimal way to organize such zoning is transparent acrylic partitions. The acrylic panel is integrated into the construction of the basin and remains almost unnoticed, but it effectively handles the task of zoning and, due to the shimmering upper edge, creates an original design accent.

Our work — partitions for zoning of the partition in the clinic
We would like to present one of our works on the manufacture of internal partitions for the base «Medical SPA» at the clinical hospital «Mother and Child», in the city of Lapino, Moscow Region. We manufactured and installed four acrylic panels, each over 11 meters long and 500 mm high. The transparent partitions are mounted on non-load-bearing elements that are part of the structure of the bowl. The maximum water level from the bottom edge of the transparent panel is 260 mm. To ensure the reliability of the construction, we conducted strength calculations based on the water pressure.



CHPU-freezing of the upper edge
The upper panel of the structure has a figurative contour and imitates the shape of a wave. To achieve such a profile, we used automated equipment — a freezing station with a CNC. The processing was carried out according to a digital template in exact accordance with the parameters of the drawing. The station with numerical programming control allows obtaining contours of any complexity, therefore, the reconfiguration in the baselines can have different configurations.
Polishing
The toroidal surfaces of the figurative contour are processed by hand polishing for providing gloss and removing traces of previous mechanical processing. On the edge, the radii of the circles are executed so that the reconfiguration is base-free and pleasant to the touch, without sharp edges.
Sklenka
The fabricated acrylic panels were delivered to the object. The installation of the 11-meter perimeter was carried out directly during the installation process. For the panels, a chemical method was used with the inclusion of transparent, almost invisible, but very durable seams.



Installation
The panels were installed according to the design scheme of the three-dimensional extension. The formation of the hermetic unit was completed, and sealing elements were installed to ensure the hermeticity of the contour of the connecting perimeter to the base cup.
The overall timeline for the project implementation was 30 working days, of which 25 days were spent on the fabrication of the panels and their delivery to the object, 5 days — for installation, sealing, and hydrodynamic testing of the perimeters.
